Pianist Yumi Jang enjoys a dynamic, international career as a concerto soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. She has performed in renowned venues across the world, including the Mirabel Palace in Austria (with the Salzburg Mirabel Chamber Orchestra), the Seoul Arts Center in South Korea, the Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall, Hilda and Douglas Goodwin Recital Hall, and Shriver Hall in Maryland, USA, and von Kuster Hall in Ontario, Canada. As a soloist and ensemble musician, Yumi has received acclaim for her expressive playing and dynamic performances. She is scheduled to perform in various competitions and recital venues across Asia and throughout North America this year.

Yumi is a recent winner of the 2022 “Pianist of the Year” ECM Grand Prix award and the Absolute Platinum Prize at the Canadian International Music Competition. Her exceptional talent and musicianship have also earned the Frist Prize at the “London” Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, the First Prize at the Charleston International Music Competition, the First Prize at the 21st Century Talents Music Competition, Grand Prize at the Royal Sound Music Competition, the Platinum Medal at the Global International Music Competition, the Gold Prize in the North American Virtuoso International Competition, the Gold Prize in the International European Classical Music Pianist Award Competition, the Gold Prize and Country Representative Winner in the International European Autumn Competition. She was also the top award winner at the Asia Chopin International Competition, Hong Kong Asia Open International Piano Competition (Youth class and Schumann categories), International Mozart Competition Vienna and Korea/France Art & Culture International Exchange Association National Music Competition.

Yumi began her piano studies at the age of 4 and quickly rose to prominence, winning numerous awards and performing throughout her native South Korea. She completed her undergraduate degree at Yonsei University in South Korea before earning her Master of Music degree at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in the USA. Yumi then commenced her doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities with Dr. Kyung Kim before transferring to Western University (Ontario, Canada), where she is currently a graduate teaching assistant and candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in the studio of Dr. Kyung Kim.

The violinist Christoforos Petridis was born in Thessaloniki- Greece in 2004 and is an extremely talented violinist of the new generation.

 

At the age of just 16, he graduated as an exceptional talent from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, receiving a Diploma with a grade of Excellent and a Special Award, in the class of Professor Mr. Kostas Kampandais. He is distinguished for his impeccable technical training and virtuosity, his musical sensitivity and his interpretative talent for which he has received excellent reviews and publications in newspapers.

From September 2022 he is a student of Profess Kurt Nikkanen at the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, U.S A. where he was awarded the ??President?s International Piano and Strings Total Scholarship/Principal String in the Orchesrta and Chamber Ensembles??.

He made his debut at Carnegie Hall, New York, in November 2022.

Despite his young age, he has won financial scholarships, titles and 14 First Prizes-Gold Medals in Panhellenic Competitions. He won five times the GRAND PRIZE in Greece and other international  competitions. In 2017 (12 years old) he won GRAND PRIZE WINNER with an absolute score of 100/100 at the ??International Music Competition-Grand Prize Virtuoso?? in Vienna and a Special Distinction "BEST BEETHOVEN PERFORMANCE".

At the age of 16, he gave his first Violin Recital at the Athens Concert Hall ??New Greek Soloists 2021?? and received excellent reviews. The newspaper KATHIMERINH wrote ‘’the clear articulation, the gentleness in the formation of the melodic line, the confidence in the formulations and the virtuoso security of Petridis set the blot. The audience does not only have to admire the precision in the performance of the fireworks. The violinist's concern was equally the quality of the melodic line, the way in which the musical phrases began and their ending’’.

A year later he performed the Violin Concerto by Jean Sibelius, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, 2022 at the Olympia Municipal Music Theater ??Maria Callas??.The NEWSPAPER JOURNALIST wrote ‘’Gifted with rare talent, unimaginable facilities and musicality, the soloist Petridis match the expressively dark, technically demanding concerto with plenty of confidence. Ethereal unfolding of the soloist phrases, the alertness to the transitions of intensities and moods. The slow part was wonderfully rendered with the violin playing tensely, with impeccable clarity of sound, the long phrases. Fearless approach, exciting performance’’

He performed as a soloist: the Accolay concerto at Saroglio Megaro, 6 years old. At the Thessaloniki Concert Hall the sonata Corelli La Follia with piano, 8 years old. Beethoven's 1st movement violin concerto op.21, 12 years old,  the newspaper PROTO THEMA wrote ??we found that Christoforos is a gifted young artist, gifted with a rare gift stamp’’.

 and Wieniawski's Skertzo – Tarentelle, perfectly performed, only 12 years old (2016 & 2017). Paganini n.21 and n. 24, in the famous Glaserner Saal-Musikverein of Vienna, Ilio-Athens Municipal Theater the virtuoso work Zigeunerweisen by the composer P. Sarasate with the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Athens: Saroglio Megaro, Theater of the Municipality of Ilio, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Catholic Church, Byzantine Museum, Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, Historical Museum of Hydra, Historical Monuments in Lesvos and Aegina.

He took part in the 14th Music Festival of Aegina, the 12th Festival in Lesvos, the 30th Classical Music Festival of Nafplion and the 13th Festival in Lesvos. 

He has cooperated with the following orchestras: Kutztown Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra  of the Municipality of Athens, State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, ??Camerata Junior - Youth Orchestra of the Friends of Music??, Symphony Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, Symphony Orchestra of the Thessaloniki Music Hall-MOYSA . 

He has actively participated in seminars such as: ?? Master class with Marina Kesselman, 2013??, ??International Music Festival Vlasti GR, 2015??, ??Chamber Music Master Class, 2020??with Quatuor Molinari from Canada, International Leonidas Kavakos Violin Masterclass 2022 and annual scholarship for private lessons in 2021.

Daniel Yoonsuh Lee is 12 years old and a 7th grade student at BASIS Independent Manhattan in New York. He began playing the cello at the age of six with Nicole Johnson at the Special Music School, and he currently studies with Yari Bond at the Kaufman Music Center’s Young Artists Honors Program. 

Daniel recently soloed with the Kaufman Music Center orchestra at Merkin Concert Hall as a winner of the Kaufman Music Center Concerto Competition. Last summer he attended Greenwood Music Camp Junior program in Massachusetts. Daniel is a regular performer at the Concerts Con Brio concert series in New York. He was also recently featured in a master class with acclaimed cellist Rubin Kodheli. 

Daniel is currently participating in the Lucy Moses School Chamber Music Program with a piano trio and the Magic Cellos Quartet. In addition to cello, Daniel plays piano, trumpet, and enjoys composing music. He also likes fencing, swimming, skating, and traveling.
