The violinist Christoforos Petridis was born in Thessaloniki- Greece in 2004 and is an extremely talented violinist of the new generation.
At the age of just 16, he graduated as an exceptional talent from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, receiving a Diploma with a grade of Excellent and a Special Award, in the class of Professor Mr. Kostas Kampandais. He is distinguished for his impeccable technical training and virtuosity, his musical sensitivity and his interpretative talent for which he has received excellent reviews and publications in newspapers.
From September 2022 he is a student of Profess Kurt Nikkanen at the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, U.S A. where he was awarded the ??President?s International Piano and Strings Total Scholarship/Principal String in the Orchesrta and Chamber Ensembles??.
He made his debut at Carnegie Hall, New York, in November 2022.
Despite his young age, he has won financial scholarships, titles and 14 First Prizes-Gold Medals in Panhellenic Competitions. He won five times the GRAND PRIZE in Greece and other international competitions. In 2017 (12 years old) he won GRAND PRIZE WINNER with an absolute score of 100/100 at the ??International Music Competition-Grand Prize Virtuoso?? in Vienna and a Special Distinction "BEST BEETHOVEN PERFORMANCE".
At the age of 16, he gave his first Violin Recital at the Athens Concert Hall ??New Greek Soloists 2021?? and received excellent reviews. The newspaper KATHIMERINH wrote ‘’the clear articulation, the gentleness in the formation of the melodic line, the confidence in the formulations and the virtuoso security of Petridis set the blot. The audience does not only have to admire the precision in the performance of the fireworks. The violinist's concern was equally the quality of the melodic line, the way in which the musical phrases began and their ending’’.
A year later he performed the Violin Concerto by Jean Sibelius, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, 2022 at the Olympia Municipal Music Theater ??Maria Callas??.The NEWSPAPER JOURNALIST wrote ‘’Gifted with rare talent, unimaginable facilities and musicality, the soloist Petridis match the expressively dark, technically demanding concerto with plenty of confidence. He performed as a soloist: the Accolay concerto at Saroglio Megaro, 6 years old. At the Thessaloniki Concert Hall the sonata Corelli La Follia with piano, 8 years old. Beethoven's 1st movement violin concerto op.21, 12 years old, the newspaper PROTO THEMA wrote ??we found that Christoforos is a gifted young artist, gifted with a rare gift stamp’’.

Paganini n.21 and n. 24, in the famous Glaserner Saal-Musikverein of Vienna, Ilio-Athens Municipal Theater the virtuoso work Zigeunerweisen by the composer P. Sarasate with the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Athens: Saroglio Megaro, Theater of the Municipality of Ilio, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Catholic Church, Byzantine Museum, Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, Historical Museum of Hydra, Historical Monuments in Lesvos and Aegina.
He took part in the 14th Music Festival of Aegina, the 12th Festival in Lesvos, the 30th Classical Music Festival of Nafplion and the 13th Festival in Lesvos.
He has cooperated with the following orchestras: Kutztown Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, ??Camerata Junior - Youth Orchestra of the Friends of Music??, Symphony Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, Symphony Orchestra of the Thessaloniki Music Hall-MOYSA .
He has actively participated in seminars such as: ?? Master class with Marina Kesselman, 2013??, ??International Music Festival Vlasti GR, 2015??, ??Chamber Music Master Class, 2020??with Quatuor Molinari from Canada, International Leonidas Kavakos Violin Masterclass 2022 and annual scholarship for private lessons in 2021.
